Description

Intellectual property rights (IPR) are divided into two categories:

  • industrial property, which includes inventions, trademarks, industrial design, and geographical indications of source; and

The majority of intellectual property rights provide creators of original works economic incentive to develop and share ideas through a form of temporary monopoly.
