Description

ISO member bodies body which actively participate in the technical committee or subcommittee, with an obligation to vote on all questions formally submitted for voting within the technical committee or subcommittee, on new work item proposals, enquiry drafts and final draft International Standards, and to contribute to meetings. They have a duty to identify experts who may be able to contribute to the related working group activities. They have to work on the preparation of International Standards and provide a feed-back route to their national organizations.

National bodies free choice

A ISO national body may choose to be neither P-member nor O-member of a given committee, in which case it will have neither the rights nor the obligations indicated above with regard to the work of that committee.
