Objectives
|
- Promotion of awareness of standards and standardization activities, with regard to their socio-economic impact on modern society, regional integration and globalization.
- Transfer of knowledge and information to reduce technical barriers to trade unintentionally imposed on Asian exporters by the specifics of the European Standardization System.
- Development of a comprehensive and coherent, modular-structured curriculum in close co-operation with the Asian partners.
- Qualification of Asian academics from various scientific disciplines in the field of European Standardization. These academics will be enabled to offer high-quality and up-to-date academic courses on various aspects of European Standardization to their students.
- Qualification of students in the field of European Standardization who will then implement their knowledge during their working lives.
- Online provision of the curriculum using the e-learning platform ‘Ilias Open Source’, which has already been implemented successfully at Helmut-Schmidt-University, University of the Federal Armed Forces - Hamburg.
