Quality and safety requirements |
Articles and facilities used in service delivery should be safe and fit for purpose and, where appropriate, comply with relevant standards and any national technical requirements (e.g. trains in public transport services, drills used when fitting kitchens). Requirements may include, for example, manual handling requirements, safety guards, etc. Goods supplied as part of a service should also conform with relevant standards and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and agreements, e.g. food hygiene standards.

The size and shape of furniture, fixtures and fittings should be suitable for target users, including those who have special needs, e.g. due to mobility, visual or hearing impairment or age (children or older persons).
